What if my access key doesn't work?
If you receive the error message: “It seems like your access key is not valid. If this happens again, please contact your service manager.” Follow the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:
- Ensure you are entering the full access key, including the first five characters, “ss://”, which may not automatically copy to the clipboard. Here’s an example of what a full access key looks like (sample only; will not work):
ss://[email protected]:39485/?outline=1
- If your access key won’t copy to your clipboard at all, this may be due to your messaging app or platform. This is mostly likely to happen when you receive a message from someone who isn’t in your contact list. If you’re copying the code from a message, ensure the sender is added to your contacts, then try to access the link again.
- If you completed steps 1 and 2 and still receive the error message, the server is most likely blocked or the access key is no longer valid. If you are the service manager, try generating a new key for yourself. Otherwise, contact your service manager for a new key.
